Benefits of Insomnia

Plus A hotel 04:46
Surprised you at the airport when you think that it's my brother who will show up. Get to spend the summer climbing cliffs, going swimming till we throw up. Michelle bought a car and a thimble and a house, plus a hotel. Nichole caught a bug so she couldn't make the trip to crazy Wolfville. Chorus: Time to go, feel the rays, pack it in, count the days We'll meet again. (and again) Time to pull the wagon off of highway 103 and find a hotel. Got to ride the curb with the rain down the hill while the storm fell. The fish in my nostrils seem to swim faster than a wind from Big Pond. I'll bring back a boat full of shells all the way from Christmas Island. (chorus) Ooooohhh... La la la.

0y0 04:06
Thanks a million, drinkin' your gin. At the party, I got your name. Killed the sorrow, till tomorrow. At the Bluenose, for a game of hearts. The evening starts. Chorus: 0y0, did I lose your number, when your numbers found me on their own? And 0y0, did I change the letters when your name was saved on my phone? Can't remember thinking. How much was I drinking, and how did I get myself home? 0y0... 0y0... Had a good time on your spine. After-parties will lead to this. In the morning, I'm getting warnings, at the Bluenose for a kiss with friends. The evening ends. (chorus) Ba ba ba-baaaa... (repeat) (chorus)
3.
Lately 04:06
Lately, I whistle when I'm walking. I'm probably gonna walk into someone like you. Lately, I'm singing to myself, and figuring out the harmonies for someone like you. Chorus: Last year, I was a safe pedestrian and last year, I couldn't get distracted, but lately, I should be locked up for the safety of you, just because... Lately, I'm closing my eyes, dreaming of a great day with someone like you. Lately, I'm knocking over ladders, with painters, painting windowsills, coming down hard. (chorus)
4.
Wake up, Kitty. Put on your dancin' shoes. You sure look pretty. You dance away my downbeat blues. Tap, twist, shimmy, head-bangin' don't feel wrong. Mosh pit, polka, break-dancin' all night long. Shake it, Kitty. Put on your dancin' face. You sure do hit me. Oh! You dance me into outer space. Square, jerk, disco with salsa don't taste wrong. Mash potato with jazz all night long. Hit me. Good night, Kitty. Put away your dancin shoes Sunlight ditty, time for the morning news. Chance of dancin' when we hear this song. Dance, little Kitty, with me, all night long.

Hoof Paw and Big Bear showed me the way there. I'm in. I'm in. Late nights, and bar fights, black eyes from those guys, they win. They win. Chorus: I don't think they want to go home. I should not leave them alone. Big Bear and Hoof Paw showed me what they saw: A star, a shooting star. Mornings are warnings: It's too late to see straight. So far, still at the bar like a rock star. (chorus) Big Bear and Hoof Paw are certainly going hardcore. They think they can outlast me but I'm ready for more. Hoof Paw and Big bear just fell face-first onto the floor. I'm taking them home.

I like you 04:09
I left my coat over at your place last night. And I told my friends I did it on purpose. And I hope they tell you that I said that. Cause I don't think leaving my coat was obvious enough. Chorus: I like you I really like you It's you that I like And it's killing me I called and asked if I could swing by. You said yes and I immediately regretted it. I threw up in a bush on the way to your place. You asked me how I could forget my coat on such a cold night. I can't say how obvious I want this to be... (chorus)
7.
On/Off 04:22
Keep it up, put it down, feel around for the missing. Warm the air, cool your hands, search for the wicked. Silent thoughts, booming will, look under the matter. 3 days on, 4 days off, blend them together. Take a stand, give a break, ignore the target. Feel it out, vote loneliness, listen to the silence.
8.
Taking a long time to let it sink. Making it a very good time to think. Waiting, but nothing is on its way. Stating what I don't need to say. Disappear in the deep blue. I'd tell you but I don't have to. Everything's okay in the summer. We don't need to think about September. Taking a long time to let it leave. Making up things that are make-believe. I'd love to let you fall in me. But your sinking in another sea. Everything's okay in the summer. We don't need to think about forever.
9.
The best party's in the kitchen, getting looped before the bar. Bitches won't stop their bitchin'. I'm shooting for the sun, but I'd settle for any star. Heard a band in the basement, playing 'Like a Rolling Stone". The singer sounded like a caveman, ripping through the meat, but he can't get through the bone. Chorus: I'm just a little high. I might be wasted too. It's time to give it a try. Baby, hold on. I want to leave the party with you. Gonna need another 2-4. Gonna take a week to heal. It's lookin' like I shouldn't have more. It's not the beer talkin' when I'm tellin' you how I feel. (chorus) And maybe that's all that we do. But I hope we do other stuff too. Oooo... The beer ain't talkin' to you. (3x)
10.
Passed the hill with the house that leaves their lights on while they go away for their long trips, there's a hill with a house on top that has a great front porch for looking at the lights at night. We won't fall asleep. We won't fall asleep. With the song that the crickets sing at night we will drive the gravel roads and try to sing along. There's a hill where all the crickets congregate before the sun comes up to wake the ones who slept. We can't fall asleep. We can't fall asleep. We can't fall asleep. We won't fall asleep.
11.
Climb... up Climb... high Climb... out I'll try Chorus: That's how I get higher than the bottom (2x) Reach... up When I'm wakin' in the morning Reach... high When I'm driftin' through the day Reach... out When the rain and tears are pouring I'll try I just need to hear you say (Chorus) Up... up... up... up... (repeat) When I'm feeling low When I'm feeling down
